As soon as I left the hospital I went across the street to where my Dr appointment was. Appointment was at 10:40 did not get into the the room until 11:50 and then the doctor did not come in until 12:15. Needless to say Josh was not happy. (I am used to waiting at the Dr, but Josh came to this appointment and he had ants in his pants and was grumpy)
So the verdict on the baby: Going to give a little information before I say what she said. The past three days I have been having some really sharp pains below my belly button all the way down. I don't think they are contractions, more like a shooting pain or a sharp pain. They last about three minutes or so and then they go away. But yesterday it happened all day. And last night it was even harder to lay in bed. I was nervous, very close to the point of going to the ER. Plus on top of all of this, Collin is kicking a mile a minute.
So back to the Verdict, Collin is transverse in my tummy. Which means he is laying sideways. And made a little nest and doesn't seem to be moving any time soon. That is why I can feel every little turn, kick, move, punch, roll, everything is magnified because of the way he is laying. Also that is why I can feel movement on both sides of my belly at the same time, (no twins). What can we do, nothing, just wait. She said for me not to try and move him. He needs to move on his own and he has 6 weeks to make it happen. She said that she can also try to move him with another Dr once we get to 36 weeks. If he does not want to move then I would have to have C Section. Which I am okay with I just want to make sure he is healthy. She said he is super healthy now. That his heart beat was 150 and he was a little bigger than he was supposed to be.
So why I was having all the pain, was because my muscles are stretching the wrong way. They are pulling left to right instead of up and down. She said this can be painful, but all I can do is rest and take it easy. And if needed I can take some Tylenol. Plus this is the reason I look bigger and farther along than I am. And why the nurse may have thought I was due next week. As far as weight gain goes, I only gained 4 lbs over the past 3 weeks. I am one pound away from my original weight. So still a minus 1 lb have not gained any weight over what I started with since I was so sick at the beginning.
Here are some pictures of the past week.
