It has been about 8 days since the last time I got to blog. Collin is still being his stubborn self and has not turned yet. Still saying yet, really hoping that he does it on his own. Some things have been changing. He is still getting bigger. Josh was out of town for a week and when he came back I told him I looked different and he said no you won't, and sure enough when he walked in the door he was like oh my goodness. Collin has gotten a lot bigger and you can see the entire outline of him in my tummy. Really crazy. Still no more kicking he just rolls around and stretches a lot. You can see all of this. I love and dislike it all at the same time. When he moves or stretches it hurts, yet when he isn't moving I get nervous and rub my tummy hoping that he will do it again.
I have been more emotional too. Mommy hormones are crazy. I cry at the littlest things. When Josh came home I wanted to show him some more things we got for Collin. So there we are sitting in Collin's room and I show Josh a stuffed animal that sings the ABCs and I lose it. I start crying and I can't stop. Josh just smiles and me and I say leave me alone, its all these hormones. Little things during the week keep making me emotional. Yesterday I worked on trying to set up his baby monitor. A Digital Graco with two parent units. IT WON'T WORK!~~~ it was driving me crazy. And of course I started to cry because I couldn't make it work. So after taking a deep breath I think it is the batteries that came with it. So I am taking it back today and getting a new one.
So besides getting bigger my hands and feet are still super swollen. Sleep it really hard to come by. I feel like I am a penguin, I just waddle around. I have been trying to walk more and more, I stop once my knees hurt. I feel like I have started counting down the days and mins it seems. I am getting so excited, I cannot wait for him to get here. Josh is really getting excited too. I love that! He sends me text messages throughout the day asking how is Jr doing or is Jr being nice to mommy today? Too cute!

Baby Shower and Doctor Appointment
Getting ready for the baby shower was an event!! Josh had this past Friday, Saturday and Sunday off, which was great because he got to help get the house ready. But this past Friday we also got to babysit the two little boys, Austin and Bryan. Which by the way Josh and I love babysitting them. So much fun! But this time was a little different I was picking Bryan up to put him in the high chair for lunch and I couldn't move. I was about mid air with him and I had to call for Josh to come and help me. I had pulled something below my belly button and the pain was horrible. Of course the boys did not even notice which was a good thing. I tried to lay down for about 30 mins but the pain did not go away. So I called my doctor and she told me to go ahead and head to the ER and get checked out just to make sure. We get to the emergency room and the nurse checks everything out, everything seems to be fine with the baby, I just pulled some muscles. I think I was just more scared than everything and it felt good to know that everything was okay, instead of me just guessing. The baby had a strong heart beat 156 and seems to be very healthy. She sends me home, and tells me no more picking up anything.
Day of the shower. I feel alot better the next day. I am a little sore, but used to it. The baby shower is at 3pm and my mom is gets me out to the house so my aunts and cousins can come over and decorate and get the house ready for the shower. My mom and I went and got our nails done, then I went and got my hair washed and curled. Very relaxing. Then it was time to head to the shower.
Everyone was there and the house was decorated so cute. All in jungle theme. We had so much fun. First we played games, which the first one was called, "guess the baby poop" little diapers filled with smushed up candy bars and we had to guess what kind of candy bars it was. My little cousins loved this game because they got to see my aunt eat some of the baby poop. It was too funny. After the games we ate snacks and opened presents. It lasted about two hours and was perfect. I had such a great time.
After everyone left we had even more fun. All the boys were at the "Brown Bag" - a local bar watching golf. We went to see them, then we all went out to eat. Afterwards we went dancing, I didn't dance but I got to watch and it was a great time.
Now for the baby appointment yesterday.. Collin is doing great. He still has not turned though. I also talked to the doctor about my hands. They hurt so bad when I wake up in the morning and are very swollen. She said it may be carpal tunnel but should go away once I have the baby. We also talked about what happen on Friday and she said I had a herniated belly button. There is nothing we can do about it, it is just going to hurt during the rest of the pregnancy. She checked his heart beat and it was very strong, again about 150. Next baby appointment is Sept 2nd and she also told me she wants to do an ultrasound on Sept 12th. I guess this will be the deciding factor on if Mr Collin is going to turn. I am excited about getting to see him though. Even if it is just a picture.
Posting some pictures below.

Lots of Movement
First thing real quick, if any of you know how to make the picture smaller at the top I would love the help. I messed with it for almost two hours and could not figure out how to make the size of the picture smaller in the header.
--- okay...
So I have been feeling some pretty weird stuff the past two days. Yesterday my mom and I went to lunch to eat Mexican food and my tummy was tight. I mean really tight. Like hard as a rock but it didn't really feel like he was stretching. It was absolutely impossible to even bend over, even a little. Plus he was so heavy. It was a really strange feeling. Plus it made it really hard to eat sitting straight up and not really moving at all. After we ate I just sat there and rubbed my tummy in the car for awhile and he finally woke up and moved a little and the pressure went away. Not sure at all what he is doing in there, but he has done the same thing a couple more times that makes him feel so heavy and my tummy tight.
So then last night we had a really rough night I could not get comfortable.Lots of crazy pain below my belly button. He moved a lot. But the movement is different now, instead of punches and kicks it is more like he is just rolling or doing slow motion stretches. Which doesn't feel very good. Don;t get me wrong though, I know it sounds like complaining, because it hurts, but I am very happy he is moving around, I am still really hoping that he turns down. Even though he hasn't yet. Next doctors appointment is Monday at 9am, maybe we will have some new news.
On another note, Josh and I took some pictures this past weekend. (after I did some begging to Josh.) My mom did a good job. We were really happy the way they turned out. Plus our friend Kevin came down from Houston this past weekend and we had a great time. Its always great to see our friends we don't get to see very often, so much to catch up on.
Everyone has been posting some great stories in your blogs, all the kiddos are so cute !!! :-)

The past two weeks
The past two weeks have been pretty uneventful. Spent some time shopping of course for baby stuff, and worked more on Collin's room. I also decided to take on the adventure of re-painting our master bathroom. I worked one day. Josh came in after work and worked on it for a while. Then my cousin Mark came and worked on it for 4 hours. Then the next day my dad came and did some of the finishing touches. Funny how many people does it take to paint a bathroom. ha ha ha ha.
Some things that have been going on with Collin. I have taken a couple of videos of my tummy, it is insane the amount of punches and kicks you can see. It may sound silly but most nights before we go to bed we just stare at my tummy that looks like there is a roller coaster in there. Some new things that are going on with me is I have started to drool. (I know that may sound gross) but I normally don't do that, but I have to sleep on my back and all the pillows in the bed to prop me up. I cannot wait to sleep normal again. Plus my feet and hands are swollen. Most of my flip flops don't fit. I am down to three pair that I just rotate. And last but not least the part that hurts are my fingers. They are so tight that I can barely make fists and they are sore. This doesn't hurt but is weird, Collin cannot stand it when I try to lay on my side, either one. He starts kicking and punching like crazy. I kept thinking I was hurting him but the doctor said no.
Today was my 31 week appointment. Very short appointment. His heartbeat was about 150 again and I only gained 2 lbs. So one pound a week. Not bad. I asked her about him kicking me when I laid on my side, she said not to worry that I cannot hurt him. It is more like he is just frustrated or mad that I am making his space smaller so he kicks. That is good news that I am not hurting him, but on the other hand I am stuck sleeping on my back. He still has not turned yet. We talked about it again, that he has till 36 weeks and she may try to turn him. This also means still the possibility of a c-section. Next baby appointment is Monday, Aug 15th. I am starting to get a little anxious. This past week, time seemed to go by slower. Josh and I also finished our 4 classes at the hospital for the birthing classes. We both thought they were great. I am so happy we went. On August 17th they also have a breastfeeding class, that is just for me.
My family is throwing me a baby shower on Aug 13th. Can't wait getting excited. Here are some more pictures of the baby room. The first photo is of a football toy box. My dad found this at work. Someone threw it away in the dumpster. It was brand new and everything. How could someone just throw away a brand new football toy box. CRAZY!
